Opus 406
This violin was made originally in 2009 and acoustically reworked in 2011. It is one of my small full sized violin, a design inspired by violins of similar size by Andrea Amati. I have been working on expanding the breadth, power, and depth of the tone without losing the sweetness of tone in the high end for more than 15 years. There are a lot of violinists of smaller stature who need such an instrument. Violinists who are aging and find playing their full sized violin becoming more difficult also find my design much easier to play. the body length of this and similar violins I have made is around 34,8 centimeters...too long for a 15/16ths violin and too short to be called a full sized violin.
